I was emerging, yet I was still tangled up. The red string that I drew on represents the way I felt trapped in an artist block, as I am still using colored pencils to draw the string rather than using string, but my fingers were expanding, just as my skill and creativity was. This is a follow up on the piece “I’m Stressed Out”. The name of this piece is inspired by the background, which reminded me of the white tile often seen in baths/showers. The hand itself looks like it is trying to break free but the red string is pulling it down. I also love scary movies and monsters, so the title felt fitting to my personality. (Colored Pencil)
